Paris Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (French National Museum of Natural History) and the Orange Foundation are partnering to propose a unique immersive virtual reality experience, Journey into the heart of Evolution, a virtual reality experience to explore the evolution and classification of living species.
The virtual reality (VR) experience is designed for the audience to explore the tree of the living, iconic species and how they are related to each other. It also offers an opportunity to explore the origin of life on earth as well as how human being influences its own environment.
This immersive experience is the result of a two-year joint collaboration between the research teams of the French National Museum of Natural History and Orange Lab.
Paris Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (French National Museum of Natural History) and Orange share the common goal to facilitate access to knowledge to a wide public and this new experience will be available on VIVEPORT by the end of November 2017. By the end of the year, the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle will open a dedicated area within the “La Grande Galerie de l’Évolution” (Gallery of Evolution) for visitors to experience on site with HTC Vive VR headsets.
